Classic Wound Pickups were designed with the best vintage examples heard from the 50’s and 60’s in mind. We slightly modified the original designs to be much smoother and more balanced for an extremely versatile vintage tone. They are lower output for a clearer sound with less distortion allowing your amp to do more of the work. These are, by far, the smoothest and warmest pickups with exceptional vintage tone and just the right amount of output. All of this combined makes the Classic Wound Series a more versatile vintage design that will please almost any playing style from blues, jazz, country, and rock.

 Classic Wound Strat* Set The Classic Wound for Strat* represent superb examples of that 50's clear and glassy tone. These are stock with staggered alnico 5 magnets, and vintage spec heavy formvar wire. Carefully calibrated so that the neck, middle and bridge are balanced in volume and character throughout all positions. The neck pickup is clear while the middle pickup is RWRP to achieve hum-canceling in positions 2 and 4. The bridge pickup has excellent output and punch compared to most vintage pickups. Neck - 5.8k Middle - 6.2k Bridge - 6.5k

Classic Wound Tele* Set Classic Wound for Tele are modeled after vintage Tele pickups to be a lower output with sharp attack and lots of clarity. These are stock with staggered alnico 5 magnets and formvar wire. The neck pickup has a nickel silver cover rather than brass to allow for better musical qualities. The bridge pickup has that classic twang with a strong punch and a vintage correct copper plated steel base plate. RWRP when combined for hum canceling. These are extremely versitile those who want a very balanced midrange and good sustain. Neck: 6.5K Bridge: 7.6K

Classic Wound PAF Bridge Classic Wound PAF's represent the best from the late 50s Era with just the right amount of output, making these some of the most versatile humbuckers available for almost any playing style. They are stock with alnico 2 magnets, short leg nickel silver baseplate, single conductor leads and vintage spec plain enamel wire. The neck pickup is a lower output for excellent clarity and warmth without becoming muddy like so many neck position humbuckers can be. The bridge pickup has a warm, airy presence with plenty of output and sustain. Together, the bridge and neck pickups are very well balanced. Bridge - 8.5k
