Luxe 1961-1964 Telecaster Capacitor Set
1961-1964 Telecaster Dark Circuit Schematic Kit .05mF & .1mF Red Dime Caps
We are pleased to offer reproductions of the complete range of Wax Paper, Molded Paper, Ceramic & Blue Molded tone capacitors as used in Fender guitars from 1950 to 1973. A pair of Ceramic REPRO Dime caps as used in the Telecaster from 1961 to 1964. These caps were factory installed in all Telecasters made between 1964 and 1966. This wiring scheme is often referred to as the Dark Circuit. All the great old Tele’s, including those from the golden year of 1953, were wired this way. The 3 positions: neck pickup alone with bass sound with no tone control, neck pickup alone with tone control and bridge pickup alone with tone control. To combine pickups, you have to park the switch between settings, just like Roy and Keef.
These reproductions are made by carefully removing the original markings from NOS 1960s caps and re-marking them with exact reproductions of the original stamps. The caps are then lightly dusted with nitrocellulose lacquer to match the sheen on the old caps. These look just like they should.
