CTS "BVT" Burst Taper 10% 570K Shortshaft Pot
The new CTS 570K Superpot
The increased resistance over standard 500K pots opens out the upper frequency range and allows the full harmonic richness of our hand wound coils to shine through, improving detail and clarity.
The main advantages of 570K CTS potentiometers:
Guaranteed brilliance: Standard 500k potentiometers often have a tolerance of ±10% to ±20%, which can result in them measuring only 400k-450k ohms in reality. A "true" 550k or 580k potentiometer ensures that the value is above 500k, thus reducing the amount of high-frequency signal from the pickups being shunted to ground. The result is a clearer, more open tone with greater presence.
No muddiness with humbuckers: Especially with darker-sounding guitars, these higher values help maintain the articulation of the humbuckers and prevent a muddy tone.
Burst Taper like the old ones..."A" 10% audio taper: fast roll-off from max volume, allows for quick swell techniques with a snappy response. The Burst Taper is ideal for direct, precise gain control, perfect for vintage amps and for players who want perfect control across the entire frequency range.
Durability: CTS is the industry standard for high-quality electronics; these potentiometers are more resistant to heat during soldering and mechanical stress compared to cheap, no-name components.
275, 525K & 570K Vintage Taper Super Pots
Superpots - why higher values??? Because your guitar will sounds more wide and open...lower value pots often sounds dull or muddy...
If you follow discussions about old Gibson/Fender Guitars you will notice that some pots over the years changed to higher values...some Gibson pots reading 600/700 and more "K" often, the same with higher "K" Value is with Fender Vintage Pots they often reads much more compare when they was new! In this case we offer the new Superpot Series to get closer to the Vintage Tone!
